Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS) Community Events
Since its formation, GATeS’ focus has been on taking up Water Purification Projects in various parts of the Telangana region and providing facilities to educational institutions and scholarships to needy and deserving students. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the following water projects have been commissioned and thousands of people are able access and drinksafe and clean water, and a number of students have benefited from the initiatives of the Society in the area of education:

- Sai Ram Reddy. College: Pujya Shri Madhavanji College of Engineering and Technology (PJMS) LB Nagar, Hyderabad – Anonymous Sponsor -2010-2014
- K. Mounika – First Year Student of Bharat Institute of Engineering & Technology received aid of $500 – Anonymous Sponsor
- Financial Aid to Orphanage: Niveditha Seva Samithi, Jagtiyal , Karimnagar, An Orphanage – run by retired teacher Mrs. Meenakshi Patnala. Sponsor – Nagaraju Viswanatha
- Three students received financial aid

- K. Mounika – Student of Bharat Institute of Engineering & Technology received an aid of $500 from ananonymous sponsor
- Sudini Santosh – Student of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institution received an aid of $1800/- from Chandan R Challa ( Sponsor)
- 500 three seater school benches were distributed, under matching grant. Rotary Club of Secunderabad West was the Host Club and Rotary Club of Farmingdale, NJ was the International partner. Total project cost : $16,000/-, TCI (now GATeS) raised $1200/- thrrough mathematics classes conducted by Chandra Nellutla. Apart from this, Donations worth $3800 were collected making up a total of $5,000/-, as a contribution from TCI.
- Financial Aid to Orphanage: Niveditha Seva Samithi, Jagtiyal, Karimnagar, an Orphanage – run by a retired teacher Mrs. Meenakshi Patnala. Srijan Joginapally, was the sponsor for this
- Construction of Toilets for ZP High School, Rebbanapalli. GATeSJoined hands with Big Help for Education, Franklin, MA for the construction of toilets in the school. We have spent around $5220 for the purpose.
- Construction of a large room (‘25 x 25’) for use as Technology Room at Nikalpur Village Government School, in Nizamabad District.
